Buon Natale!

It’s been a very busy year with lots of events for the Lee-Bertolucci family.

It began in January with me starting Graduate school at Concordia University, studying Instructional Design and Educational Technologies.

In 2018, Elena moved on to Grade 5 at Cedarcrest Elementary while Matteo graduated and began Secondary 1 at LaurenHill Academy.

But nevermind our classes!

Summertime!

On the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy

The event of the year has to be our summer trip to Italy.

It was the first time for Elena and Matteo and they had a great time.

There were lots of family visits while we traveled around Tuscany and Northern Italy with Alessandro’s parents, Edi and Giancarlo, and niece Alexia.

Rubbing the boar’s snout at the marketplace in Florence is considered good luck!

Naturally, we visited all the Italian landmarks.

We spent a week in Rome, before staying a week in  Lucca, Tuscany where my father-in-law’s family still reside.

We ended our trip with a week in the surrounding areas of Pordenone of Northern Italy.

My mother-in-law Edi’s ancestral home of Barbeadis is hidden amongst the mountains there. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Family gatherings

During the year, we enjoyed several visits and occasions.

Ronald and Tippi brought Remi and Max for a visit

There was Ronald and Tippi’s visit with their children Remi and Max, which brought together the Lee clan for a grand get-together at my father’s house.

Patricia visits Uncle Jean with Daddy

My sister Patricia visited us in the late summer – it was too short, of course! And there many happy occasions to celebrate: birthdays and anniversaries.

Alessandro and I, along with his brother Marco, celebrated their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary – with grandkids Matteo, Elena and Alexia

We celebrated Christmas Eve with my cousin Henry, his wife Therese and daughters Sarah and Alicia who are all visiting us in Montreal. Here is a Google Album of photos from the party at Tante Brigitte’s and TonTon Luc’s.

We are thinking of family and friends we can’t be with right now, wishing you all the best this Christmas and in the New Year’s.
